Positive Thinking


To be able to use your mind to create your future one has to learn how to be positive in their thinking.
To have control of your thoughts we hold in our conscious minds is essential if you want to build a successful life and achieve your full potential. There is a way you can unlock your personal potential to achieve anything you really want in life.
First understand that there are basic laws that have to be learned to get maximum performance from ourselves. Once we understand how we work, we can apply what we have learned to achieve far higher levels of accomplishment in our day to day lives. One of these laws is; we must feel good about ourselves. And feel in harmony with the universe.
How is this done? We have to clear away the old negative thoughts that are lingering in our subconscious minds. This can be done by feeding our minds with new thoughts. The most powerful positive though is to accept your-self, unconditionally. This is the key to success. Repeat ‘I love myself, I love myself’’ You cannot say this enough ‘I love myself’. Say this all day long. Eventually your subconscious mind will accept this positive thought and you will begin to feel better and become in harmony with the universe. To put it another way. If you want to listen to a program on the radio, you have to tune it in; otherwise you cannot get any incoming information. Positive thinking is tuning in to the universe.
The idea is to take full control of the conscious mind and keep it totally on what you want to accomplish.
Here is an analogy; The earth has to be healthy if you want to grow plants. What do you do to make the earth healthy? I would dig and turn it over, and then I would take out the weeds, I’d put in the seed of my choice and make sure it’s nourished and watered, I’ll put it in a place where the sun shines, then wait until the plant grows to it’s full potential.
This is how it is with your mind. Prepare your mind by taking out the old negative thought patterns. Then, replace them with positive thoughts i.e. ‘I love myself’ or ‘I accept myself, just as I am‘ This will take time for the new thoughts to become accepted by your subconscious mind, because your old way of thinking has been in control for years. After a while your thinking becomes in line with the universe. Or ‘the light’. So to speak.
When you chose to plant something, you will see it grow, but the weeds will keep coming back. A good gardener plunks them out before they get to strong.
As it is with your mind, the old thinking patterns will keep coming back. You have to starve them with your new way of thinking; ‘I love myself’ or ‘I like myself’ every time a negative thought comes into your mind, repeat over and over again ‘I love myself’ As I mentioned before; the dark disappears when the light is switched on. Negative thinking is the dark side of life. When you say ‘I love myself’ you will be in the light, or in ‘God’s’ presence. All positive thinking comes from God. One of the basic laws is to believe that there is a power greater than you. It can be any thing you chose, a ‘God of your understanding.’
When you have achieved this mind cleansing, you will be ready to take full control of your conscious mind. Then be able to plant the thoughts of your choice.
I believe the next law of achievement is gratitude; I try to be thankful for all things that are good. I start with; thank you for my warm bed, for the food I eat, my home, my work; my health, my relationships. The car, bus and train that takes me back and forth to where I need to go.
These are only a few of the things we can be grateful for.
The next law of achievement is to take responsibility. I am responsible for my life, I am responsible for the way I think and the decisions I chose to make. This way of thinking, I am responsible, takes away blame. If we blame others for the things that have gone wrong in our life, we then are allowing ourselves to become one of life’s victims. To take control of our lives, makes us feel good about ourselves.
The next law is the law of belief; I have heard it said that the universe obeys the thoughts that you believe with feeling, even if it’s a thought that is contrary to the truth. If you believe with feeling, that you cannot do things; such as pass your driving test, exam, or win a race, etc. The law of attraction says that we are like a magnet, we radiate thought energy and attract into our lives the people and circumstances that harmonize with our dominant thoughts. A positive mental attitude is essential for success. Remember you’re not what you think you are, but you are, what you think.
The next law of achievement is; We need to forgive everyone. The parents first for everything they did that caused us any unhappiness. Then we have to forgive everybody else—every single person who has hurt us in any way. Then we have to forgive ourselves for every foolish, brainless, wicked, thing we have ever done, and if we feel uncomfortable about something we said that has offended anyone, we have to make amends immediately.
The next thing we need to learn is; not to worry. Worry is a form of fear, a negative goal setting. It’s thinking about and imagining exactly what we don’t want to happen, but this only attracts exactly what you think about. You will need to let go and let God when you have indecisions and fears of the future. The serenity prayer is a powerful way to stop worry. The next thing we need to know about is; guilt, a person that has been brought up with the feeling of guilt, feels inferior, undeserving and inadequate. These people usually engage in self-criticism and they criticise others. The character of the person who has been brought up feeling guilty uses victim language, such as ‘I wish’ I’m sorry’ I’ll try ‘I apologize, ’ I have to’ ‘ I can’t’ ‘ it wasn’t my fault’ Guilt is a destructive emotion and needs to be eliminated from our feelings and from our lives. This can be done by stopping destructive self-criticism, never criticize yourself for anything, and never let anyone criticize you.
When you have accomplished all this, you will be ready to plant the thoughts in your mind that you wish to achieve.
I believe writing affirmations is a very powerful way to achieve the things that you desire. First thing in the morning and last thing at night.

Here are some ideas to get you started then you can use your own affirmations

First write down three times in the present tense such as:
I am, an open channel of creative energy
I am, an open channel of creative energy
I am, an open channel of creative energy

Then write as if there is someone outside of you agreeing with you.
Kate, you are, an open channel of creative energy
Kate, you are, an open channel of creative energy
Kate, you are, an open channel of creative energy

Then write as if there is a crowd of people agreeing with you. If you like you can visualise yourself on a platform with people cheering you.

Then you write; this or something better is now manifesting in my life for the highest good of all concerned.
“Do this as many times as you can, first thing in the morning or last thing at night” For two weeks. You can choose more affirmation if you want to, but no more than three at a time.

Here are some affirmations to help you chose the right one for you.
Every day in every way I’m getting better and better.
Perfect wisdom is in my heart.
I am whole and complete in myself.
The more I love my self, the more love I have to give to others.
This is a rich universe and there’s plenty for all of us.
I am relaxed and centered. I have plenty of time for everything.
I am open to receiving all the blessings of this abundant universe
My favourite is;
I give thanks for divine restoration in mind, body, financial affairs, and all my relationships now.
